In our school buses, the following actions have been taken to reduce the risk of contamination.

• The school buses are ventilated every day after providing service and cleaned on a daily basis; the areas the students touch are disinfected. These processes are documented and controlled.
• All service personnel (including the administrative personnel) have taken PCR tests before the operation and have completed their vaccination processes.
• In the mornings, the students (kindergarten and Grade 1 excluded) will leave the school buses starting from the front seats to maintain social distance.
• In the school buses, air conditioning will be used only through external air circulation, and if the weather conditions are favorable and there are windshields and top window, they will be opened.
• Students are required to put on their masks before getting on the bus, not to take off their masks throughout the journey, and to talk as little as possible.
• The numbering system has been adapted in the school buses. Students should always sit in the seat designated for them in the bus and should not change their places under any circumstances. The seating arrangement in the bus will be hung on the wall of the vehicle and will also be communicated to our parents.
• All bus drivers and attendants have completed the Covid-19 Awareness and School Bus Practices trainings which are regularly provided by Efa Tur and repeated before opening the school.
• Each driver and attendant measures their temperature before getting on the bus and informs Efa Tur. You may access the information processes and necessary measures to be taken in The Koç School COVID-19 Case Procedures document in case there is a suspicion of illness in the driver or the attendant.
• There are more than enough spare masks for the number of students in the buses and hand disinfectants placed at the entrance of the buses. Spare masks will only be given to our students who drop their masks, get them dirty, etc.
• No food will be consumed on the bus.
• If the students show a sign of Covid-19 in the bus and fever is detected when they get off the bus at the school, The Koç School COVID-19 Case Procedures will be followed.
• During the pandemic process, our parents’ daily requests to have their children dropped off at different locations will not be fulfilled if a change of vehicles is necessary.
• The students’ temperatures will be measured as they get on the school bus and students with a temperature higher than 37.5 degrees will not be accepted on the bus. The parents of the students with high temperatures will be informed, kindergarten and Grade 1 students will be taken to their parents.
• Students are not allowed to use tablets in vehicles during the pandemic.
• The school bus driver will wear a surgical mask. Separators have been placed in vehicles to prevent air contact and divide the driver’s area.
• School bus attendants will have minimum contact with the kindergarten and Grade 1 students. If possible, they will only contact the students while helping them get off the school bus or in case of an emergency. The school bus attendant must disinfect their hands before contact.
• The school bus attendants will wear surgical masks and visors in the vehicles.
• As the school bus attendants pick up the students from the school, they will form lines with 3 meters in between and ensure that social distance is maintained between the other attendants and students.
