History Department of the Koç School aims to raise new generations who are knowledgeable enough to access information and transfer, link and use different information to explain the history, today and the future of the nation. We also aim for the skills development of historical empathy, different perspectives to the historical events, recognition and familiarization of different cultures, spatial and temporal perception and interpretation, as well as the acquisition of humanitarian values, critical thinking and research skills.
Subjects included in the MEB and IB programs are enriched by technology use and classroom activities, which are studied following a student-centered learning. Curriculum subjects are taught being enriched by activities, reading passages and course materials developed by the teachers without being confined to a single course book.
