IB Music course follows an internationally recognized music curriculum for the students who prefer to study music. In this course, students are given the opportunity to understand the world’s music, learn about the music of different cultures by studying music history and theoretical considerations, and prepare a musical show at the end of the year as a solo or group performance.
It instils passion for the musical cultures that they are or aren’t familiar with and encourages them to study the similarities and differences between them. The course also aims for the students to be aware of the relations between sound, rhythm and musical background in the songs or pieces they listen to, and make analysis using the correct musical terminology.
