Physical Distancing and Classroom Arrangements

Physical Distancing and Filiation Practices

Regulations have been made to maintain physical distance in all areas of the school. With the awareness that we are all responsible for the health and safety of both ourselves and those around us, we are expected to carefully follow all physical distancing practices.

  • We all must take the right lane while walking on all school grounds and corridors. Physical distancing, routing and security areas were determined and necessary signs were put to these areas.
  • All teachers are authorized to make warnings to maintain physical distance regardless of grade level differences.
  • Common areas such as sports halls, libraries, high school canteen, etc. can be used as long as the physical distancing practices are followed. Arrangements regarding distancing in all areas have been completed, necessary markings and signs have been made.
  • Only students and employees with physical disabilities will be able to use the elevators. In case of compulsory elevator use, the buttons will be pressed with paper towels placed outside the elevator, these paper towels will be thrown into the garbage cans at the exit of the elevator. Only 1 person will use the elevator at once. For instant needs, there are disinfectants in front of the elevators. The elevators are also regularly disinfected within the framework of hygiene and cleaning plans.
  • Various areas and/or times have been determined in order to minimize the contact of each level/class with each other in all three schools regarding the usage of the schoolyard. Our primary, middle and high school students will likewise be in special areas allocated to their class or group. These areas have been prepared to control the physical distance and the filiation when necessary and guidance will be given to our students. Different play areas will be designated for the Primary School.
  • The common materials used during breaks and physical education lessons will be disinfected before each use.
  • All parent meetings and interviews will be conducted online.
  • Playing groups in the slide and the imagination workshop areas within the primary school building will not be used.
  • Kindergarten students will only use the toilets and sinks in their own classrooms.
  • Different toilets have been determined for students in primary and middle schools. In primary school, students will only use toilet cabinets designated for their classes. Students are expected to use only these toilets.

Classroom Arrangement

  • Before entering the classrooms and at the end of the lesson, students are required to wash and disinfect their hands. There is a disinfectant in every classroom entrance.
  • Separators have been placed on the desks in primary and middle school classes, as required by age groups.
  • All students are expected to wear masks during their time in the classroom.
  • It is mandatory to use masks in all public areas and during the breaks.
  • The entries and exits of Primary School students will be arranged according to sections.
  • All students in primary school will sit at desks with their names on them, they will not use different chairs or desks in the classrooms.
  • The Grade 1 and 2 gardens of the primary school have been turned into open classrooms and certain lessons are planned to be held in these areas. The students will have their snacks in these areas. It is also planned that Grades 3 and 4 have their snacks in the yard.
  • For other primary and middle school students, gazebos placed in the school yard will be used as open classrooms in some lessons.
  • The tables in the areas such as laboratories, departmental offices etc. in the school have been divided by separators and the seating arrangements are planned to provide physical distance.
  • Our students will be expected to wipe their desks in ateliers and common classrooms as a part of their education on hygiene.
  • Information on the use of materials in classrooms and school materials (music instruments, paints etc.) will be provided on the basis of grade levels or courses.
  • The doors the students use to go out to breaks have been diversified according to grade levels and floors.
  • A new arrangement has been made to prevent students in different sections from coming together during the face-to-face education process and primary school club activities and to prevent cross contamination. Accordingly, the students will participate in club activities with their own sections, experience different clubs in every quarter and get the chance to join a total of four different clubs throughout the year.
