Health and Safety

• It is recommended that individuals living in the same house as the students get their full dose of vaccinations.
• The most important measure that our students should follow from the time of leaving the house to their return home is the use of masks Each student must carry a sufficient number of masks (at least 5 disposable masks are recommended per student per day).
• All our students are required to wear masks in classrooms, common areas and corridors during their time at school. It is recommended that masks are taken off only when eating or drinking.
• Our students are required to have hand sanitizer or cologne with them.
• It is recommended that our students do not touch any surfaces as much as possible and disinfect the surfaces they need to touch (desks, pens etc.) frequently.
• All disinfectants etc. in our school supply of materials are provided through Vehbi Koç Foundation Health Institutions and Zer A.Ş., a subsidiary of Koç Holding. Hand sanitizers were placed in the classroom entrances, corridors, common areas and gardens in our school.
• Students will be reminded to wash their hands frequently.

Cleaning and Hygiene

The cleaning and disinfection processes of the school have been arranged in accordance with the Koç Holding “Cleaning and Disinfection Application Recommendations” and the Ministry of National Education’s “Guidelines for the Measures to be Taken at Schools during the Covid-19 Pandemic”. Additional applications have been implemented based on the dynamics of The Koç School.

All cleaning processes will continuously be performed throughout the day, and disinfection will be carried out with biocidal licensed products outside the school hours when there are no students and employees at school. Our school renewed the “My School is Clean” certificate for the 2021-2022 Academic Year on September 20th, 2021.

Our school is among the first schools that has received the “My School is Clean” certification in the 2020-2021 academic year.

• Frequently used surfaces (tables, door handles, lighting knobs and sockets, countertops, handles, handrails, telephones, keyboards, toilets, sinks, faucets and batteries, etc.) will primarily be cleaned with biocidal products with disinfection feature throughout the day.
• Electronic devices such as tablets, keyboards, touch screens, headsets, ATM etc. will be disinfected separately. Students are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting their own equipment such as headphones, laptops, etc.
• Detailed disinfection will be carried out during the hours when students are not at school.
• All areas will be frequently ventilated.
• The central air conditioning systems will operate with 100% fresh air and console air conditioners will not be used.
• Wastes such as contaminated masks, protective gloves, etc. will be collected in pedal garbage bins designated for medical waste within the framework of hygiene rules.
• Pedal bins are placed in all classrooms for other wastes.
• The water dispensers in the school will be used for filling water bottles but they will not be used as drinking fountains. Bottled water will be placed next to the water dispensers in Primary and Middle School for students and teachers who prefer those instead.
