Our aim in Physical Education and Games lessons is to prepare our students for the next level of education by developing basic movements, active and healthy life skills that they will use throughout their lives through games and physical activities. Based on learning through play, the development of our students is considered as a whole. Student-centered environments allow students to structure their own learning. We aim for our students in the developmental period to gain regular exercise, active and healthy life habits. While determining learning-teaching approaches and strategies, we make associations with other courses and daily life and offer learning environments where they will have fun.
Games are a common way of communicating between children, giving them freedom and individuality. Our lesson designs emphasize the development of an understanding of fair play and competition. Basic and combined movement skills, games with simple rules and physical activities are part of effective and self-confident development.
Our students recognize and practice traditional games from our culture and other cultures. With the games practiced in the lessons; the foundations of teamwork, leadership, winning, losing, taking responsibility, using time well, respecting differences, the right to participate, learning to share are established.
